Well some bitterssweet news. Sapphire and McLain will not be heading towards the 2012 Olympics as Sapphire has been retired. However she is being retired happy and healthy to hopefully have some babies and lead the good life from here on out. As you can see in the picture, she has already starting celebrating being able to finally end her diet! McLain of course still has Antares F as an Olympic hopeful mount and I wish them the best of luck.
McLain and Sapphire are truly a one of a kind pair who will be sorely missed in the show world, but her retirement is of course astoundingly well-deserved!
